The way my semseter project in a story format will help refine my ideas is by encouraging you to see the experience through the user’s eyes. By telling the story of someone using a camera
from the decision to capture a moment to sharing or saving the photos you've begin to understand their goals, emotions, and pain points. This approach highlights what features truly matter, where users might struggle, and what makes the experience enjoyable.
Rather than focusing only on technical details, storytelling helps you create a more thoughtful, user-centered design that’s guided by real needs and meaningful moments.
A Field Guide to Love and Typography: You can establish typography hierarchy by varying font size, boldness, and styles like italics and capitalization, using color and contrast, employing strategic white space and alignment, selecting contrasting typefaces, and maintaining consistency and structure.
With the widespread availability of cameras on smartphones and digital devices, many users lack understanding of proper techniques, legal limitations, and ethical considerations in photography and videography. Misuse can result in poor-quality images, privacy violations, or unsafe behavior.
Primary: Teens and young adults (13–25), tech-savvy but often uninformed about best practices or legal/ethical use.
Secondary Amateur photographers and hobbyists (25–40) looking to improve their camera skills or expand their knowledge of responsible use.
Informal competition from social media influencers and YouTube tutorials offering fragmented, inconsistent information.
Formal competition from photography courses, camera manufacturers’ user manuals, and apps offering automated photography features.
